A recent episode of "Chopped" offered four teenagers who love to cook an opportunity to compete for $25,000 and a $40,000 culinary scholarship plus the very elusive title of teen champion. Faced with mystery baskets of strange ingredients, they must create something that will appeal to the judges and also show off their culinary skills and creativity in the appetizer, entree and dessert rounds.

The judges for this episode are: Geoffrey Zakarian, Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy. The host, as always is Ted Allen.

Competing in this episode are: Ashley Dudley, 16 from Hancocks Bridge, N.J., Jay Urena, 16 from Queens, N.Y., Jason Khaytin, 14 from Holland, Pa. and Alexandria Brooks, 16 from Voorhees, N.J.

The first round appetizer mystery box contained: Cherry Drink Soaked Pickles, Lamb Loin Chops, Kale Chips and Ricotta Salata. Jay made seared lamb loin chop using onion, shallot and garlic. Ashley made lamb spring rolls using Napa cabbage, carrots and rice paper. Alexandria made seared lamb with kale pickle salad using lemon, thyme and orange. Jason made grilled lamb loin chip with bitter green salad using radicchio, honey and white wine. The teen who was eliminated was Alexandria who overcooked her lamb.

The entree round contained: Mahi Mahi, Cookie Snack Chips, Green Beans and French Fries. Jay made pan-seared mahi mahi with French fry hash using lemon, bacon and jalapenos. Jason made pan-seared mahi mahi with French fry hash using mushrooms, white wine and bacon. Ashley made pan-seared mahi mahi with French fry green bean hash using garlic, onion and pancetta. Ashley was the teen who was "Chopped" in this round because her hash had burnt pieces, and the skin was left on the fish.
