Last night's episode of "Chopped" offered four previously eliminated chefs an opportunity to compete again for the $10,000 and the very elusive title of a champion in this episode where the chefs were given items in the three mystery boxes in this episode titled, “Return and Redeem”

The judges for this episode were: Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag and Geoffrey Zakarian. The host, as always is Ted Allen.

Competing in this episode are: Michael Bryant, executive chef for Eva Restaurant in L.A., Natasha Pogrebinsky, chef and restaurateur, Lauren Von Der Pool, private chef and Tre Ghoshal, chef and owner of Adara in Montclair, N.J.

The first round appetizer mystery box contained: Lime Gelatin, Prosciutto, Celery and Prawn Cocktail Chips. Michael made prosciutto & celery hash with lime gelatin sweet ‘n sour using soy sauce, rice vinegar, onions and potatoes. Lauren made prosciutto salad with lime gelatin maple dressing using mixed greens, cucumber, mustard and maple syrup. Natasha made creamy celery bisque using cumin, ginger and broth. Tre made asparagus & prosciutto roll with celery, lime & mint reduction using mint, butter and asparagus. The chef eliminated from the first round was Lauren, whose dressing was too sweet and her salad had too many onions.

The entree round contained: Sour Candy Belts, Quinoa, Pickled Turnips and Red Snapper. Michael made pan-roasted red snapper with fish fumet using soy sauce, peanut oil and fish sauce. Natasha made pan-roasted snapper filet with fried ribs and fish fumet using broth, flour and beer. Tre made madras curry fumet with quinoa salad and snapper filet using curry, turmeric, paprika and peppers. The chef who was "Chopped" in this round was Tre, who left his pickled turnips whole, and they were overpowering.

The dessert round included: Palm Seeds in Syrup, Chocolate-Covered Raisins, Dulce De Leche and Multigrain Cereal. Michael made steamed pudding using milk, butter, eggs and flour. Natasha made deep fried phyllo-crusted cheesecake using cream cheese, ricotta and tahini.

The winner of the $10,000 and "Chopped" champion who received redemption was Michael Bryant, who now has validation for his work.
