A recent episode of "Chopped" offered four more chefs an opportunity to compete for the $10,000 and the very elusive title of a champion in this episode where the chefs were given items in the three mystery boxes in this episode titled, “There Will Be Bloody Marys.”

The judges for this episode were: Scott Conant, Alex Guarnaschelli and Marc Murphy with host, as always Ted Allen.

Competing in this episode are: Patrick Lacey, chef de cuisine at Tarry Market in Portchester, N.Y., Millie Fernandez, owner of Rock Star Chefs, Hayan Yi, a private chef in N.Y.C. and Jeffrey Forrest, executive chef at Parker & Quinn in N.Y.C.

The first round appetizer mystery box contained: Mille Crepe Cake, Snow Crab Claws, Kohlrabi, Bloody Mary. Millie made rockin’ claws with bloody mille cake sauce using garlic, cognac and peppers. Patrick made crab salad with roasted kohlrabi and Bloody Mary vinaigrette using honey, lemon juice and vegetable stock. Jeffrey made snow crab lobster roll using onions, peppers and balsamic vinegar. Hayan made pickled kohlrabi using rice vinegar, sugar and iodized salt. The chef eliminated in this round was Millie because her crab was overcooked.

The entree round contained: Seafood Paella, Ground Chicken, Dry Sherry, Bread and Butter Pickles. Hayan made paella croquettes using potatoes, lemon juice and cilantro. Jeffrey made poblano relleno with tortilla taco using onions, poblano peppers, cumin and oregano. Patrick made risotto with spiced chicken sausage using red peppers, onions and fennel seed. The chef who was "Chopped" in this round was Patrick because he made the chicken sausage too dry, and the rice was overcooked.

The dessert round included: Cinnamon Whiskey, Phyllo Dough, Brazil Nuts, Rose Hip Jam. Hayan made buttermilk ice cream using buttermilk, whole milk, heavy cream and sugar. Jeffrey made beggar’s purse with brown butter cinnamon apples using butter, cinnamon and ricotta.

The winner of the $10,000 and "Chopped" champion was Jeffrey Forrest, whose confidence was raised by winning. Congratulations!
