You're riding a cool wave. Life is good. Then sh%t suddenly goes wrong and the "bad" seems to be stacking up...we may think:
1. WOW am I off my path??? ( perhaps Rabbit)
2. I put the wrong stuff on my vision board!!!! (what did you actually want to FEEL when you made it?)
3. There's some negative force/unseen enemy that has a voodoo doll in my name somewhere ( could be but rare) and then its the extreme case and another bowl of wax ALL together...
4. I am being cleared, prepared and polished. YES I am being taken to another level of self-love and inner power.
Many of us are in pursuit of greater happiness, abundance and fulfillment. To that end we are learning, exploring, reading and stretching like never before. We are becoming a New World of Seekers...Amen to that!
Unfortunately, the selling and marketing of spirituality seems to imply that if you are completely aligned with your SOUL you will be happily married, wealthy, completely fulfilled and probably internationally famous.
Lots of people are signing up for that...yet throughout time mystics, saints, monks and fabulously world-transforming people who lived their true values...went thru intensely difficult challenges.
In fact, everyday people are living AND thriving through troubled waters.
In the old days, mystic/spiritual/healing apprentices CHOPPED WOOD and CARRIED WATER. They say now that "how you do anything, is how you do everything," so elders back in the day noticed how their students chopped that wood and carried that water.
It's NOT about getting ready for your Hollywood close-up, its ALL about the DIVINE CLOSE-UP...Are you READY?
Yes, you learn deep spiritual truths from being a soul incarnated in a body. Basic stuff like learning to eat right, play well with others, communicate peacefully and love with integrity. Its why some of us think we signed up for this wild adventure to begin with. To learn thru experience, to learn thru our bodies, our flesh enveloped Soul existence.
Those old time apprentices? They were lucky if by the 6th mnth their head monk, priestess, shaman or priest spoke to them about some deep life mystery. So...today we go to one workshop and inspired we think I'M HERE. THIS IS IT. The thing is we are always evolving in this I'M HERE space. We are always growing. Tested. I don't care if you're a NYT best-selling guru...you are challenged and called to walk your talk.
OUR chop wood, carry water may look different. Our assistant quits before a huge product launch. You don't have the funds to create an amazingly designed website for your Soul work and so...you work three days straight and do it yourself. We have to delay a training program because you have an ailing parent.
Creator FORBID...our iPhone wipes out and we did not back up...oh well iCloud carried that for us! Our lives are different from back in the day but we certainly have our modern day challenges and our growing edges.
Let's put love and compassion into the details, even if when we can, we might hire someone to do it for us! Let's move with grace as we handle hirings, firings, loves lost and mishandles diagnosis. Let's really embrace that every day we commit to being our fullest beings and when it gets rough...its not punishment, its an opportunity for growth.
So when sh%t looks bad, relax. Breathe. Ask what is being asked of me right now? Could be courage. Love. Choose a quality that you feel you may need to grow into. Could it be strength or the ever popular "Patience oh Grasshopper. Patience." It seems the Universe wants me to be a master at this! and I bet you too!
