Expectant parents should have a pediatrician selected by the time they reach 35-36 weeks of the pregnancy. Your maternity hospital requires this information to be included on your pre-registration documents. The '10 tips for choosing a pediatrician' includes the importance of meeting any potential pediatrician. Many aspects of parenting are not black and white. Parents needs to find a pediatrician who is a good 'fit' with their communication style, parenting beliefts, and wellness philosophies.
