Tampa, Florida – October 29, 2013
Building on 14 years of tradition, the Ybor City Museum Society (YCMS) will host the Cigar Heritage Party, a smoker in the garden of the Ybor City Museum State Park on Friday, November 15, 2013, 6:30 – 10 p.m.
Admission includes premium cigars, food from notable Ybor City restaurants, liquor tastings, live entertainment, cigar rolling demonstrations, and a silent auction.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a VIP experience, which includes an open bar and a specially-curated selection of craft beer and signature dishes by Tampa Bay Brewing Company. Each VIP member will receive a limited edition Cigar Heritage Party commemorative cigar, handcrafted by Wallace Reyes, holder of the Guinness World
Record for “Worldʼs Longest Cigar”. Reyes will also be teaching VIP attendees how to roll their own cigar. Admission is $75 in advance or $85 at the door.
The smoker will open to the general public at 7:30. Guests will enjoy food from Carne Chophouse and Bernini. All attendees will be entertained by the music of Acho Brother throughout the evening, a silent auction, and the opportunity to observe Wallace Reyes as he provides cigar rolling demonstrations.
In 2013 and 2014, the Cigar Heritage Party will take the place of the annual Cigar Heritage Festival, which the Ybor City Museum Society has traditionally hosted each November. The Society is currently reimagining this festival and will launch the new Cigar Heritage Festival in the spring of 2015.
