These brownies are spectacular. The chocolate is not overpowering, yet they are rich. The texture is moist and decadent, yet not overwhelming. These brownies are so easy to make, that it’s the perfect go-to recipe. It’s hard to find enough superlatives to describe how wonderful they are.
There are a few things that should not be over mixed and brownies are one of them. Put all of the ingredients in a bowl, then stir with a spoon just until incorporated. Though cakes and other lighter-textured desserts benefits from being whipped with an electric mixer, brownies credit their dense, heavier texture to the manner in which they are mixed.
If you’re looking for an amazing end-product, use only real ingredients. There is no substitute for real vanilla extract (do not use imitation), use a good brand of cocoa powder, and use real butter. Butter has no substitutes! If the price is a bit off-putting, go to Sam’s Club or Wal-Mart. Both locations carry butter at a very reasonable price. Buy extra and freeze it!
