I recently published a recipe for Buttermilk Pie. I have revised this recipe to make Chocolate Buttermilk Pie. Sounds strange, but is good. You have to keep the Buttermilk a secret when serving because nobody will want to try it. I really love to experiment with different recipes, especially the ones that have been handed down from my relatives. There is one pie that I will never forget. It's the pumpkin pie my Mom made. She was in the first stages of Alzheimer's Disease. She used chili powder instead of pumpkin pie spice. Needless to say, there were a lot of napkins full of pie hidden in everyone's lap. This story is told a lot at Thanksgiving and at Christmas.
