Chocolate and fish go well together at the Chocolate World Expo in Connecticut

The Maritime Aquarium was packed to the gills with people experiencing the museum's Fintastic RefurbFishment and over 40 vendors for the Chocolate World Expo on January 27, 2013. Included in the admission cost was full Maritime Aquarium admission.

Visitors could visit Chocolate World Expo vendors in the large, main hall of the aquarium and find vendors throughout the aquariums exhibits. Many vendors offered samples of their food for for sale or sold treats to be enjoyed while perusing the expo.

Among the vendors was Bacon Bites, offering pig-inspired novelties along with chocolate covered bacon. Aurora Gourmet sold chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows hand-dipped in a milk or dark chocolate fountain in the main hall.

Each exhibit hall also featured vendors. Outside of the meerkat exhibit was Breezie Maples Farm with maple-based products and distributing samples of maple cotton candy. Goodway Bakery was set up next to the otters.

The aquarium was open during the expo. Many families touched rays and sharks and experienced the museum's new decor. The special exhibits Go Fish and meerkats were also open to Expo visitors.

The next Chocolate World Expo will be at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, New York on March 3, 2013.
