Chocolat lounge: A sweet spot in Harlem

Situated on Harlem’s Frederick Douglas Boulevard restaurant row, Chocolat Lounge is a great place for lunch, dinner, cocktails and late night dining. It’s sleek and modern interior is complemented by the warmth of the staff and ambient lighting from candles, sconces, and glowing bar. The menu features everything for the simple to a more sophisticated palate.

Ground sirloin or turkey burgers on a brioche bun grace the menu along with Miso Glazed Salmon with Baby Bok Choy and Imported Basmati Rice. There is a distinct soul influence with the inclusion of favorites such as shrimp and grits, St. Louis Spare Ribs, and macaroni and aged cheddar. Diners can finish the meal with their choice of desserts including the ubiquitous Red Velvet Cake.

Chocolat is open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. On any given weekend you will find the grown and sexy of Harlem sipping one of the many martini and wine selections on the menu.

In addition to the fabulous food and people, the restaurant serves up eclectic musical selections on the sound system we’ve heard: jazz, soul and other samplings from the African Diaspora.

Good people, great food and even better music, Chocolat hits the sweet spot in Harlem.
