The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a yogurt recall on Sept. 5. Chobani Inc. has ceased distribution of their Greek yogurt line due to consumer complaints of illnesses including reports of product bloating and swelling.
An investigation is ongoing to identify the root cause of the problem; Chobani will continue to keep the FDA up-to-date with their findings.
The affected products were distributed out of their Twins Falls, Idaho-based plant and delivered to retailers and club stores nationwide.
Consumers who have purchased any of the affected products should discard the product and the company’s Customer Loyalty Team at chobani.com/care or call 1-877-847-6181 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST.
Due to unusually high contact volume to their company currently, the customer care team is working diligently to address the replacements or refunds of the affected products for consumers.
