Chito Miranda has decided to press charges after someone allegedly stole his computer, hacked his hard drive, and uploaded a private sex tape of him and his girlfriend online. On Aug. 5, ABS-CBN News reported that Miranda -- a popular singer from the Philippines -- will be taking legal action in this case. His girlfriend Neri Naig (an actress) has not taken any further action in the case.

"According to Rommel Cajayon of Backbeat Management, which handles the career of Miranda, they are now consulting lawyers to identify the social networking sites that shared the sex video. Cajayon said Miranda is decided about pressing charges against the unnamed suspects," ABS-CBN News reported.

Chito Miranda was very embarrassed when the video surfaced online and many people felt as though he had disgraced his family. Some of his fans supported him and some completely turned on him, wondering why he would make a sex tape to begin with. There has been quite a struggle to keep the video off of the Internet despite attempts made by Miranda's people.

"Shame on those who continue to share the video on their social networking sites. Let us not judge them. They are people in love. But it's clear that Neri Naig's rights were abused and violated. She did not approve or consented to the uploading of a private video," said Naig's talent manager Manny Valera.

Chito Miranda and Neri Naig are still together as evidenced by Miranda's Instagram account.
