Today ends the Genoa, Italy-based Associazione Italiana Chiropratici (A.I.C) or Italian Chiropractors' Association's annual and nationwide Settimana della Chiropratica or Chiropractic Week. Free check-ups were given at chiropractic offices throughout Italy.
Every year on October 16th, people from around the world join together to raise awareness on World Spine Day as part of the Bone and Joint Decade’s Action Week. This year’s theme for World Spine Day was “Straighten Up and Move.” The theme focused on the importance of proper posture and movement in maintaining good spinal health and health care providers and organizations around the world provided important information, tips and tools to help prevent spinal disorders.

In the US, every October is National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), an annual nationwide awareness campaign that aims to educate the public about the role of chiropractic in healthcare. NCHM was established by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) to educate the public about the many ways they can develop healthier lifestyles. This year’s theme is “Get Vertical!” It emphasizes the importance of activity to joint health plus the utilization of proper techniques to help optimize functionality at all stages in life.
