Chip Ganassi Racing signs Dylan Kwasniewski as development driver

Chip Ganassi Racing announced the signing of 18-year-old Nationwide Series driver Dylan Kwasniewski as a developmental driver before the Sprint Cup Series Race in Kwasniewski's hometown at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kwasniewski is already a champion in NASCAR capturing both the 2012 K&N Pro Series West and the 2013 K&N Pro Series East championships. He made the move to the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the 2014 season driving for Turner Scott Motorsports, sitting eighth in the championships standings.

“This young man has impressed us from the moment we saw him,” Chip Ganassi said in a news release. “His poise, skill and determination on the racetrack are remarkable for someone so young.

The announcement puts Ganassi Racing with two of the highest touted drivers in recent years in Dylan Kwasniewski and Kyle Larson.
