Traveling, competition, and victory are the themes for the Year of the Horse beginning Friday, January 31st 2014.

Chinese New Year is a time to welcome longevity, wealth and prosperity and eliminate past negativity. Each year, an animal is featured; people born under the Horse are known to enjoy competition in order to achieve their true goals of freedom, passion, and leadership.

Chinese astrology uses the birth year to determine the animal representation. Each animal possesses certain characteristics, both positive and negative, so if you are a Horse, you are usually described as sociable, business-savvy, and one-of-a-kind. Celebrity horses include: Denzel Washington, Barbara Streisand, Sir Paul McCartney, Ashton Kutcher, Mena Suvari, Katie Holmes, Kristen Stewart, Janet Jackson, Clint Eastwood, John Travolta, Adam Sandler, Halle Berry, and Selma Hayek.
