Travel is more than just going out of town. Travel is more than just taking a trip. Travel can be an adventure right here in your own back yard. Why not travel to a wonderland of splendor by taking someone special to the theater or the ballet? There are a lot of hidden gems right here in Nashville and they can be discovered through the medium of art at the Tpac, right downtown.
Las Vegas, London and New York all boast Broadway and spectacular shows with impressive effects and timeless entertainment. But these world renowned cities aren’t the only places to offer inspiring and captivating entertainment for adventure seekers of all ages.
One such fantastic adventure will be taking place from February 15-17 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The extravaganza is called Shen Yun. This expression of Chinese history is “5,000 years of divinely inspired culture…” . This show has classical Chinese dance, original live music, animated backdrops and exquisite costumes. For those who love enjoying culture and heritage, one may be intrigued to understand that this performance of The Shen Yun can no longer take place in China. The culture that this show exhibits has been all but destroyed under current communist rule in China.
The New York Times, Broadway World, NYTheater.com and others are singing Shen Yun’s praises, describing it as “Brilliant” and “Captivating”. It is truly unlike anything that has come to Nashville and promises to be a once in a life time event and adventure.
Shen Yun will not be around long with only 4 shows taking place in February. Prices range from $132 for center orchestra seats and get as low as $52 for balcony seats. Ordering is made convenient by phone or online.
