Food, fun, and fresh music meld beneath the stars. KCRW's Chinatown Summer Nights are back for three Saturday nights. The season kicks off on June 14, 2014 in the Chinatown Central and West Plazas at 5 p.m. and lasts until midnight. Bring your crew. It's free! Mark your calendar for the July 12, 2014 and August 9, 2014 events.

Bands slated to play on the LA Weekly Live Music Stage June 14th are: psych-rock mystics EFG (Electric Flower Group at 10 p.m.) and pop darling Meiko (8 p.m.). Four of LA's top emerging artists will also join them: pop quintet Babes (9 p.m.), gypsy-punk ensemble Kera & the Lesbians (11 p.m.), indie-rock five-piece StaG (7 p.m.), and singer-songwriter RÁJ (6 p.m.).

KCRW DJs rock the dance floor from 8 p.m. to midnight. Travis Holcombe and Mario Cotto spin in June. Jason Bentley and Liza Richardson are slated for July. Raul Campos and Anthony Valadez close it out in August.

Hands-on Chinese cultural activities (It's Chinatown, after all!), the Downtown Flea Craft and Vintage market, food trucks, live cooking demonstrations, and authentic Chinese restaurants will have you hungry for more delightful nights.

Enjoy summer in the city!
