China Auto Logistic Inc. leads Friday's Penny stock winners

Luxury vehicle importer China Auto Logistic Inc. (CALI) finished the first year of 2014 at $4.32 up 0.69(19.01%). BG Medicine, Inc. (BGMD) closed at $1.50 up $0.4110(37.74%). After hours action saw the stock jump four cents. BG Medicine, Inc. focuses on the development and delivery of diagnostic solutions to aid in the clinical management of heart failure and related disorders.

LED chip producer SemiLEDs Corporation (LEDS) finished the week at trading $1.20 a share, up 0.24(25.01%) After hours activity saw this stock raise one cent. The jump in price comes on the heels of a Lux Research report that suggests China's LED lighting market will double in 2017.

Biodiesel company Methes Energies International L (MEILW) finished the week at 0.50 Up 0.10(24.32%)

The U.S. Stock Market closed the first week of 2014 mixed Friday. The Dow Jones industrial average added 28.64 points to close at 16,469.99.The S&P 500 index took a dive by 0.61 points to 1,831.33. The NASDAQ finished in the read by 11.16 points to 4,131.91.
