High pressure will build across northern Ohio today and tonight. After a chilly start, it will be sunny and warm today. It will be partly cloudy and not as cold tonight.

On Tuesday, a warm front will begin to lift northward across the state. Clouds will begin to increase and there is a chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the day.

The warm front will lift to our northeast Tuesday night, to be quickly followed by a cold front from the northwest on Wednesday. The atmosphere ahead of the cold front will be quite unstable and there is a threat of strong to severe storms Wednesday afternoon as the front moves through. Wednesday will likely be the warmest day of the week with temperatures approaching 80 degrees in some areas.

Here is the forecast: For today, it will be sunny with highs around 70. Winds W 5 mph.

Monday night, clear to partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s. Winds NW 5 mph.

Tuesday, partly sunny with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. Winds S 5-10 mph.

Tuesday night, mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Wednesday, partly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Extended Analysis: A cold front will move to the south and east of the area Wednesday night. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will end overnight Wednesday night as high pressure builds toward the state.

High pressure will build across the region and dominate the weather across northeastern Ohio through the second half of the week.
