A series of weak disturbances will rotate through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas today through tomorrow leading to the threat for a few rain and snow showers on the first day of Spring. While today is the first day of Spring, the weather won’t reflect the change in the season very much with winds from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures in the upper 30′s to lower 40′s over the interior and mid to upper 40′s along the coast. Temperatures for tomorrow will range from the upper 20′s to lower 30′s for lows and upper 30′s to lower 40′s for highs.
High pressure will be in control Friday through this weekend with scattered to variable cloud cover. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will slowly moderate to near normal levels but still cool. Low temperatures will range from the mid 20′s to lower 30′s over the interior and lower to mid 30′s along the coast. High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40′s over the interior and upper 40′s to mid 50′s along the coast.
An area of low pressure will bring the threat for rain and snow on Monday with snow more likely over higher elevations and rain along the coast. The track of this storm is still very much uncertain and could completely miss the region to the south. High pressure will take hold again on Tuesday with clearing skies and windy conditions. Low temperatures will range from the upper 20′s to lower 30′s over the interior and mid 30′s along the coast. High temperatures will range from the upper 30′s to mid 40′s over the interior and upper 40′s to lower 50′s along the coast.
