Chile wins their first QCSL World Cup Championship
Tuesday April 20th, 2010 – Chile put an end to Canada’s third consecutive championship hopes by scoring a very late goal breaking the deadlock between the teams.
Chile started off strong by taking a two goal lead early in the game. Canada replied and evened up the score only to go down by two goals again. Canadian captain Leo Incollingo was looking forward to lifting up their third trophy in as many years and an inspiring performance by Leo helped Canada even up the game again 4 to 4. QCSL playoff MVP Rachid Madkour then scored with under a minute to go to give Chile their first championship in their first ever finals. Congratulations to Chile and Canada for putting on a great show and congrats to Chile on their first championship!
