According to Tuesday's NBC News, the Grinch is alive and well in Tampa, Fla., as evidenced by the theft of one family's puppy.
On Monday, the Russell family's home was ransacked and burglarized - valuables, along with all of the Christmas gifts for the two young children in the household, were stolen.
The Tampa Police Department is trying to help the Russell family recoup the gifts which were stolen from beneath the Christmas tree, but even their generous efforts are not enough to ease the pain of losing 12-week-old "Honey," a Shih Tzu, who vanished along with the gifts and property.
Melody Russell stated:
"My daughter cried and cried."
TPD Spokesperson Andrea Davis stated:

Anyone who has information about Honey's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or report online at Crime Stoppers.
