Children's Museum reopens with new location and extended hours

The Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota is finally open again at a brand new site with brand new hours!

CMSM announced:

After a successful first week in the Children's Museum's new interim location, during which we hosted over 300 visitors and sold over 50 Family Memberships, the Children's Museum has decided to extend our hours of operation!

Beginning February 20th, the Children's Museum will be open:

Wednesdays 9am-1pm

Thursdays 9am-5pm

Saturday 9am-5pm

Sundays 11am-5pm

School Closed Holidays 9am-1pm

Until then, the current hours sill apply:

Wednesdays 9am-12pm

Thursdays 9am-12pm

Saturdays 9am-3pm

This temporary location, or exhibit prototyping laboratory, serves as part of a transformative community involvement project for which the Children's Museum received Legacy Funds to complete. This project will allow the Museum to reach a broader audience, resulting in the development of museum experiences that engage every child’s natural curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The exhibits available now are only the beginning, and much more will be added and changed in the coming months. Come see for yourself!
