There are a number of top-quality Children's Hospitals in South Florida. This article's focus will be upon Baptist Children's Hospital, Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital,  and Miami Children's Hospital. These three hospitals are some of the best in the nation, and we are fortunate to have them all in our area. Miami Children's Hospital also has the adjunct Dan Marino Center which is supported by the Dan Marino Foundation. Baptist Children’s Hospital in Miami will be performing corrective facial surgeries for South Florida children: free of charge! Joe Dimaggio is in the midst of an exciting expansion which will actually be a whole new hospital across the street from where JDMC is currently a growing part of Memorial Regional Hospital. Miami Children's Hospital Foundation has been working to raise funds for Haitian relief via their website and cell phone text options. The Dan Marino Foundation is currently hiring 16-21-year-olds with confirmed disability to work 30 hours/week with a job coach.

Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center is a center for the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of children with special needs. The Center, developed as a partnership between the Dan Marino Foundation and Miami Children's Hospital, is a not-for-profit entity fully owned by Miami Children's Hospital. Since this center's inception in 1998, it has grown rapidly and is now providing neurological and developmental services to children throughout South Florida as well as South America and Europe. The Dan Marino Center also coordinates community outreach projects that include the services of specialized medical and allied healthcare professionals, educational organizations, volunteer programs, and parent support organizations.

The Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center is comprised of outpatient evaluation and treatment professionals serving the health care needs of children, adolescents and young adults from birth through 21 years of age. Patient care is delivered in this setting by licensed, certified and ancillary personnel. The center provides comprehensive neurological and developmental medicine care. Medical support services that are part of this comprehensive child neurology and developmental medicine center include: Audiology Screenings, Genetics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Cardiology, Urology, Nephrology, and Dermatology. Health Professionals in the field of Speech and Language Pathology, Psychology, Behavioral Medicine, Occupational and Physical Therapy are integral members of the medical diagnostic and intervention teams.
