Children’s Events Near Atlanta This Weekend

            It’s the last weekend in January, and the grandchildren are getting stir-crazy.  Where can you take them that will be enjoyable for all?  I have found some winners for those of us in the Atlanta, GA area.

 The Fernbank Museum of Natural History is hosting “The Fernbank NatureQuest”.  Youngsters will embark on a nature hike where the lessons about nature will come to life. 

Dates: Saturday, January 28 &  Sunday, January, 29 2012               

Cost $17.50 adults                  Time: 10:00am – 5:00pm       

Sunday 12:00om – 5:00pm

Fernbank Museum also has an IMAX theater claiming the largest screen in town.

Imagine  It – Children’s Museum of Atlanta has several events going on this weekend.

“Let Your Creativity Flow” is an activity that allows children and adults to paint.  Don’t worry about getting paint on your clothes, smocks are provided.

“Crawl Space” is designed for toddlers and early walkers to play and explore.
