Children’s Book Festival to Conclude at Downers Grove Public Library

Downers Grove School District 58’s three-day-long Children’s Author Festival 2012 will end this week with a public book-signing event held in both Meeting Rooms of the Downers Grove Public Library (DGPL), located at 1050 Curtiss Street in Downers Grove, Illinois 60515. The Book Fair will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012.

Authors and illustrators of children’s books will be at the DGPL for the Author Signing from 7:00 to 8:00.  One can buy the books in question at Anderson’s Bookshop at 5112 Main Street in downtown Downers Grove, around the corner from the DGPL.

The phone number at the DGPL if one has a question is (630) 960–1200.  Registration for this event is not necessary.

In an article published Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Staff Reporter Debbie Lively wrote in The Downers Grove Bugle, “This year’s visiting authors include Jim Aylesworth, Phil Bildner, Henry Cole, Carolyne Crimi, Larry Day, Judy Fradin, James Kennedy, W. Nicola-Lisa, Craig Pierce, S.L. Rottman, and Sally M. Walker” (“Children’s author book festival comes to town”).  Ms. Lively also reported that District 58 alternates celebration of this annual event between schools on the north side of town and schools on the south side of town.
