Children frolic with snow themed movement activity

The season of snow fall can be a winter wonderland for children and can inspire some great creative movement ideas. Have the children use their imaginations to shape their bodies into snowflakes. For an individual activity have the "snowflakes" dance, float, flutter, spin, etc. to music and eventually melt to the floor and disappear. For a group activity suggest the individual "snowflakes" find a way to connect to each other and slowly lower themselves to the floor creating a "blantet of snow". Another fun group activity is for all the snowflakes to move together in a "snow blow flurry" as if they were in a snowglobe. The leader can pretend to shake the snowglobe to create movement,.
