The New Year and Taxation Credits for Children
Many people are asked at one point in time, or another to discuss what America means to them. This time of year, most people think it means a tax responsibility for themselves, the country, and thier children. Children become of value as parents young and old, struggle to find the most credits for thier families. Many commercial and computer services are available for parents, but one source not commonly known is the public libraries. In Riverside, The Community Action Parnership offers Free Tax Assistance for low-income-to-moderate income residents. No appointments are required and the assistance is on a first come, first serve basis. This service is being offered at local library branches in Riverside with one example being the Arlanza Branch. At the Arlanza library: from January 28th until April 14th; on Thursdays 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. -2 p.m. parents obtain Free Tax Assistance. They can meet and discuss at no cost in a safe environment with security the best credits, filing status, or any other advice for thier situation and children. In the world of electronics, some parents find it hard to even begin to answer the computer questions and need a person to talk with them; at no cost. This service is provided as a FREE TAX ASSISTANCE with no gimics for adding fees later for extra services or state filing fees. Other branches may be offering a similiar service and you should contact you local branch if you want to find out if the same assistance if offered at your library location. Information concerning the library branches is on the website at www.riversideca.gov/library.
The Arlanza branch is located at 8267 Philbin Ave in Riverside, CA. 92503. The phone number to contact the library is (951) 689 - 0389.
While you are visiting this branch or others in Riverside, stop by the book sale and donation room. As the economy worsens, your children still are learning or love to read. The library offers children books for free or at very low costs; such as a dime, or a quarter that they can keep. Also, you can donate books for a possible donation tax credit. While visiting the La Sierra Branch, I found a wonderful book for only a quarter entitled the "Kiss of God". It is about Marshall Stewart Ball. A true story of a child who is a servant for writing who can not speak or walk. His book is an inspiration as a teacher, and one I most likely would never have found outside of the library book donation store.
In conclusion Marshall's quote on what America means to him is:
"Can willful Americans begin to answer
happily, lovingly, interstingly
that challenge finely given,
really carefully declared
by caring, listening, loving thinkers?"

Have a great tax season and seek the credits your children need. My advice is to enjoy them for yourselves as parents, and enjoy them with your children. Allow you children to be appreciated as valuable citizens in this nation we call America. The children tax credits are due to them and because of them only!
