Childhood superstar Shirley Temple Black passed away at the age of 85. She died late Monday night of natural causes.
Shirley began her acting career at the young age of 3. She was known for her acting, singing and tap dancing as she won the hearts of many. Some movies of hers included "The Little Princess", "Curly Top", and "Heidi". Once she reached her teenage years in early 1940 she ended her contract and stopped acting.
Shirley moved on to be a foreign diplomat to the United Nations (1969-1974), Ghana (1974-1976), Czechoslovakia (1989-1992).
cnn.com reported this statement "We salute her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and most importantly as our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and adored wife of fifty-five years of the late and much missed Charles Alden Black."
Her legend will live on and she will be missed by many.
