Three children were struck by a vehicle on Rt. 13 in Tullytown Bucks County on Jan. 19 2014. One of the children was killed almost instantly, first responders said. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of Rt. 13 directly in front of the Courier Times newspaper at 4:40 p.m. Police on the scene said.

The roadway has been under construction for some time. One lane is closed and only the other gets by. The construction zone was not manned at the time of the crash. The other two pedestrians suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Fire Police were called to close the road until the investigation could be completed. Police did not have any information on the ages or names of those involved.

Police from Bristol Township and Bristol Borough arrived to help with the accident investigation. It is too early to tell if any charges will be filed, police said.
