Ubisoft's fairytale role-playing game Child of Light will make its way to PlayStation Vita on July 1, the publisher announced today.

The game will be available digitally for $14.99, same price as its console and PC counterparts. A retail version, called the Complete Edition, is also slated for release, which is said to include all the game's additional content such as a new character, bonus quest and more collectibles.

Set in the fantasy world of Lemuria, Child of Light tells the story of young Aurora, who, along with several fairytale companions, must retrieve the three major light sources -- sun, moon and stars -- which have been stolen by Umbra, the Black Queen. Running on the Rayman Legends UbiArt Framework engine, the game brings paintings to life, creating a universe fit for the tale.

We loved Child of Light, giving it 5 out of 5 stars, and said that it was one of the most exciting, memorable experiences this year has to offer so far. Be sure to check out Examiner's full review.
