Consumers purchasing certain food products will be able to help their local food banks receive the benefit of their purchase by taking a simple online step on the Child Hunger Ends Here site after purchasing the food item.

ConAgra Foods, which has been partnering with Feed America for close to 20 years according to details shared on one of their sites. There readers will learn about ConAgra Foods' involvement in helping address hunger in the United States and end child hunger.

Certain foods made by ConAgra are marked with a code and the photo of a red pin, such as the one in the photo included with this information. Purchasers of the food items included in this program merely enter the code online by visiting the Child Hunger Ends Here site along with their zip code.

Once the code from a particular ConAgra Food is entered along with the consumer's zip code, the person will see which food bank will benefit from the consumer's purchase. Those in Charlotte and the surrounding area will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina when they enter a code from their purchase online.

There are no personal questions to answer and no email or other information is required. The program will run through August, 2014.
