Child, 10, killed in random shooting: Minn. shooting kills child, others injured (Video)

Child, 10, killed in random shooting. According to a report at Twin Cities Pioneer Press, a child, 10, was killed in a random shooting in the Twin Cities. The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Monday, and authorities believe it was a random act of violence.

A gunman fired at a car with the 10-year-old, and the child's mother, who was also wounded. A woman in another car was also injured, and the Oakdale police chief says a suspect has been taken into custody.

"It appears to be entirely random," says Sullivan. "At this time it appears he was randomly shooting at vehicles."

Police say the 33-year-old suspected gunman, who reportedly lives in the neighborhood, was being questioned by investigators.

Oakdale Mayor, Carmen Sarrack calls the shooting "sick," she added: "What can you say when a 9-year-old or 10-year-old is killed? ... People are devastated that this could happen in our city."

What a horrible crime. What are your thoughts on this shooting?
