Bailey, the chihuahua doesn't really like his baths, but Sunday's session proved to be more than any tiny pooch should have to endure as three Metro firefighters had to climb into a bathtub to free the little canine's stuck foot reported CBS Sacramento.
In true doggy form, Bailey tried to wiggle away from the warm bath water, and the unexpected suddenly happened. According to the owner,
“he jumped up and when he came down; his foot landed in the drain and it got stuck."
To no success could the owner free the nervous little canine, so in came Animal Cruelty Officer Mechelle Crites, who couldn't free Bailey's foot either. Bring on the Metro Fire Department, and three firefighters climbed into the tub, and with at least 20 hammers destroyed the tub in order to free the canine cutie. Of course, a veterinarian had to give Bailey a shot in order to send him off to doggy dreamland, while the brave firefighters tackled the reluctant bathtub.
It's doubtful the owner will ever plop her pampered pooch into the likes of a bathtub again, but if Bailey thinks he has won this battle, it's obvious he hasn't won the war. Remember Bailey, there are always sinks and even small, secure baby bathtubs to keep you looking dapper and smelling sweet.
