Chick-fil-A is under fire from homosexual groups, the reason being that one of the restaurants in the privately owned chain made donations of their chicken sandwiches at a marriage seminar.
In a press release made over this past weekend, Chick-fil-A President Dan T. Cathy re-affirmed the company’s Christian values, but denied allegations that it required franchises and program recipients to embrace similar beliefs.
Cathy said Chick-fil-A has “a long history of trying to encourage and strengthen marriages and families, both within our Chick-fil-A system and with our customers” and is “a family business that serves and values all people regardless of their beliefs or opinions.”
Cathy's statement was in reaction to news that a Pennsylvania Chick-fil-A outlet was to provide chicken sandwiches for a marriage seminar sponsored by the Pennsylvania Family Institute. This group is opposed to homosexual marriage and was a key supporter of a Pennsylvania law that banned homosexual marriage in 1996.
Many in the homosexual community have called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A. (But why not on Pennsylvania? They're the state with the ban on homosexual marriage.)
The Bible is very clear on what constitutes a marriage. It is between a man and a woman. Jesus taught, "What God has joined together, let no one separate".
By promoting same-sex marriage, that is exactly what the homosexual community is doing.

I commend Chick Fil- A for standing up for what is right. Today we christians need to rise , stand up , and share the gospel as Jesus intended. We are taught tolerance Jesus said, " you are either for me or against me". There is so much diverstiy in the world that one can't speak without offending someone. God has blessed Chick-Fil-A and will continue to. Thank You for recongnizing Sunday as the Sabath day.
The only bigot here is you gay jay and the other gay 'free thinkers'. The pendulum will swing back to the right and your pride will crumble like ash when you see the face of God. I pity you.
You claim, "Many in the homosexual community have called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A."
More than "many" gay people have not called for such a thing. Because they have brains to decide for themselves whether they will spend their hard-earned gay dollars on stores that support them or don't.
Quit trying to act like all gays are the same.
Pennsylvania is the home of "many" gays, and PA law will come to respect their rights to equal treatment, benefits & responsibilities of its citizens soon enough.
Momentum is against institutionalized discrimination. Because freedom-loving Americans, THANKS TO THE INTERNET AND BLOGGERS, now know that there really are gays everywhere. and they can see that their relationships truly have no affect on heterosexual families or marriages in any way.
"Separate" who, Bill? In what way, sir? You are a callous bigot to say such a thing. May Jesus show you the truth of his loving message: In no Gospel does He say to keep the gays less equal under the law or to deny them marriage equality. In fact, He says nothing about gays at all.
And, by the way, American law has nothing to do with Bible scripture -- otherwise it be the same here as the Taliban and other man-woman-and child killing Middle Eastern governments.
Today, they're finally falling down, too, because the truth of freedom & equality wins. Thanks again to the voice of the internet, your religious bigotry is on the wane, Bill.
Chick-fil-A: Adapt or disappear.
