All sorts of rumors are swirling around about the end of the Mayan calendar. I don't think the end of days is coming, if that's what you're wondering. In fact, I think quite the oppostite is true.
I believe it just might be the beginning of a new era, one marked by personal power and global energy. In other words, I think it's a good thing. You know, a move towards world peace and all of that.
If you want an inside look into what the future might bring, you could go to the source. Debbie Rosas, co-founder of Nia Technique, the dance/exercise/fitness class that has got people buzzing, will be part of a trip to the Yucatan to explore the area with guests and speak on the power of transformation at this incredible time.
The trip is ten days long and includes visits to Tulum (located high on bluffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea); Coba (home to the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan at over 126 feet); Ek Balam (boasts an enormous Acropolis-type pyramid); and the old Mayan village of X’ochen (to experience “The 7 Moments of Maya”).
Several days will be devoted to enjoying presentations by world-renowned speakers at the conference event, including Debbie Rosas, Gregg Braden, Marci Shimoff, and many others.
The culmination of the trip is on December 21, the Winter Solstice. Now this is the really cool part. The guests on this specific trip only will be able to be inside Chichen Itza for three hours early in the morning at the exact time of the Solstice. The site is closed and otherwise off-limits to the public at this time. There will be a sacred event and ceremony held to mark the occasion.
Mexico is now incredibly easy to get to, especially for Dallasites, with flights throughout the day on American Airlines, as well as other carriers. And this part of Mexico is nowhere near the unrest you may have heard about. And, if you plan ahead, you can find direct (or single connection) flights at surprising prices.
People go on vacations and trips for all kinds of reasons. But being at the center of an historic event seems like one of the best reasons of all. And, if there's an opportunity for personal transformation while you're there, all the better.
