Lifetime Television premiered the Preacher's Daughters on Tuesday evening. The show which follows 3 young ladies whose fathers are preachers, and highlights the issues and challenges they face.
The show takes on the issues of dating, promiscuity, drugs, and sex, and the impact the issues have on Christian and non-Christian households. While pulling no punches, Preacher's Daughters received mixed reviews from some Chicagoans who tuned in.
Said one viewer:
"It (Preacher’s Daughters) is the type of show that families should watch together. Even though the focus is on daughters; young men make up the other half of the equation. It still takes 2 to tango, and attempting to isolate daughters will not solve anything."
One viewer felt as if the show had a "golden opportunity; but missed the point."
"The teenage promiscuity issue is not limited to the daughters of preachers. The struggles are a part of every home. All the talk about the children of preachers being wilder than other kids is false. The issues are the same! The show can just as easily be called “Daughters."
The shows airs Tuesday evenings at 10/9 Central.
