1. Geja’s Café

Geja’s Café, 340 W. Armitage, is planning the most romantic Valentine’s Day celebration in its 49 year history. For eight consecutive days from Sunday, February 9th through Sunday, February 16th, the renowned “Restaurant of Romance” will be elegantly decorated and feature sparkling champagne, “Love Note Tuesday,” live flamenco and classical guitarists, photo keepsakes, and delicious sizzling hot fondue cuisine. Geja’s Café will begin taking reservations on Saturday, January 18 at 9 a.m. in person or by phone as space is limited. 2. Quince

Quince will offer a four course, Valentine's Day prix fixe dinner menu on February 14 from 5-10:30 p.m. Executive Chef Andy Motto's menu ($85) includes scallop, lamb, quail and chocolate dessert, while his vegetarian option ($75) includes a roasted carrot dish, tortellini, wild mushroom tart and chocolate dessert. The menu is outlined below.

3. Nacional 27

Nacional 27 is the perfect place to dine, drink and dance with your Valentine. Chef Chico Vilchez has created a "Feliz dia de San Valentin" prix fixe menu, available on Friday, February 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. ($40 per guest) and from 7-10 p.m. ($75 per guest). The menu, outlined below, includes shared starting courses and tapas, choice of entree and dessert duo. The later seating includes a champagne toast. Following dinner service, DJ Konsept will spin lusty Latin beats 'til 2 a.m.

Valentine's Day celebrants may also choose to enjoy the special prix fixe menu on Thursday, February 13 from 5:30-9:30 p.m ($75 per guest). Pre- or post-meal, partake in complimentary salsa dance lessons at 7:30 p.m.

4. Cantina Laredo

Add a little spice to your Valentine's Day dinner date this year. Cantina Laredo in River North will offer a three course, Valentine's prix fixe menu ($35 per person) from February 13 to February 15. Chef Kennon Reed's selections, outlined below, include mango salad, roasted red pepper soup, sauteed shrimp with spicy mango mole, ancho chile-rubbed chicken, filet mignon, strawberry bunuelos and churros. Each course may be paired with a cocktail (Peach Berry Flaca Flip; Passion Fruit Margarita; and Heart Warmer) for an additional $15 per person.

Cantina Laredo's regular menu will also be available. The restaurant is open Sunday through Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. For table reservations, call 312-955-0014 or visit cantinalaredo.com.

5. The Fairmont Chicago

The Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, is turning up the heat for Valentine’s Day 2014, with an extravagant four-course dinner at aria restaurant including a delicious array of menu items specially prepared by the Executive Chef. The dinner is $75 per person plus taxes and service charges. The hotel is also offering an overnight romantic package perfect for those looking to treat their loved one to a Chicago Valentine's Day hotel getaway, starting at $293 per room. Located adjacent to Millennium Park, couples can warm up with Fairmont’s signature hot chocolate following an afternoon of delightful ice skating, exploring the park in the snow or shopping on nearby Michigan Avenue. 6. La Madia

Celebrate St. Valentine's Day with a date, or gather a group for a fun evening out at La Madia in River North. Chef Jonathan Fox's four course prix fixe menu, served family-style, will be offered on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15. Chef Fox's menu (outlined below) features the choice of appetizer, seasonal salad, and Neapolitan-inspired pizza, as well as a flute of prosecco to start and housemade chocolate truffles to finish.

7. Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club

Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club will have you feelin’ the love this Valentine’s Day weekend. From Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16, dining guests may enjoy chef JoAnn Witherell’s Valentine’s specials (fried oysters; lamb loin chops; seared scallops; and more), in addition to Kit Kat’s regular dinner menu. Diva Kinley Preston will entertain guests starting at 7:30 p.m. each evening, and Kit Kat’s mixologists will shake up Valentine’s themed martinis during the entire month of February ($13.50 each, half priced Sunday-Thursday).

8. III Forks Prime Steakhouse

III Forks Prime Steakhouse will welcome Valentine’s Day dining guests with a special "Sweetheart Menu" for two. Available on Friday, February 14, Executive Chef Billy Caruso will offer a three course menu that includes: III Forks Salad; Broiled Tenderloin with fig balsamic demi-glace, truffled yukon gold mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus; and Chocolate Lovers’ decadent dessert ($145 per couple). Each guest will receive an individual salad and steak entree; the dessert will be shared.

The Lakeshore East-located prime steakhouse will feature three sparkling wine selections by the glass or bottle (Chandon Brut Classic; Chandon Sparkling Rose; Etoile Brut), hand-chosen for the romantic holiday. III Forks' extensive wine list and seasonal cocktail menu will also be available.

III Forks will also offer an a la carte menu on Valentine's Day. Choices include "Beginnings" (ahi tuna' shrimp cocktail; seafood medley; wedge salad; lobster bisque), "Beef Market" (filet mignon, USDA Prime bone in and boneless ribeye; rack of lamb), "Fish Market" (cold water rock lobster tail; Atlantic salmon; Chilean seabass), and sides (sauteed spinach; roasted mushrooms; off-the-cob cream corn; lobster mac & cheese; and more).

9. City Tavern

City Tavern, a perfectly cozy spot for a romantic night out, will offer Valentine’s Day diners the regular dinner menu as well as savory specials. Chef Amanda Barnes has created four dishes, available February 14-16, that include: Seafood Cocktail; Grilled Maine Lobster; Cowboy Ribeye for Two; and Crab Spaghettini. Dinner reservations are recommended; please call City Tavern at 312.663.1278.

If a Valentine’s breakfast date is more in order, City Tavern’s brunch service will be offered on Sunday, February 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch libations include a $5 bloody mary bar and bottomless champagne or mimosas for $25.

10. The Chicago Firehouse

The Chicago Firehouse will celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday with a three course prix fixe menu, available February 14 to February 16. Chef Dean Zanella's set menu includes choice of starter, entree and dessert for $59 per guest. Optional wine pairings will be offered for $25, and guests may choose to add chilled fresh seafood and sides for an additional price. The complete prix fixe menu is outlined below.

The Chicago Firehouse's regular dinner menu will also be available. Reservations are recommended; please call 312.786.1401. The South Loop located restaurant is open for dinner Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday Brunch will be served, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 16.

11. Untitled

This Valentine’s Day, Untitled has your back. We’ve thought of everything, and we’re going to make you look good.

On the most romantic evening of the year, Untitled fetes Valentine’s Day lovebirds with an indulgent evening of dinner, drinks, music, and entertainment, within the gorgeous confines of Untitled’s lounge.
A welcome cocktail will be served at 7:30 p.m., followed by a luxurious dinner service beginning promptly at 8 p.m. Awaiting at each table is a bottle of Sexual Chocolate, a unique, bold wine bursting with red fruit on the nose and a smooth finish.

12. Weber Grill

Weber Grill is celebrating the holiday of love with a 3-course menu designed to share with that special someone. The restaurant will be providing love-struck couples with the decadently delicious sharing menu with a choice between carefully-selected appetizers, entrees and desserts. Guests can also enjoy each item from the sharing menu ala carte as well as the regular dining menu throughout the weekend.

The 3-Course Sharing Menu will be available on Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16 for dinner and carryout. The sharing menu is priced at $70 per couple (not including tax and gratuity). Ala carte items range from $6.50-$29. Reservations are recommended.

13. HUB 51

This Valentine’s Day, head to HUB 51 and treat your special someone to a three-course prix fixe dinner that’s sure to please. Kick off your meal with the choice of the Brussels Sprouts Salad or any one of the signature sushi rolls before moving on to your choice of entrée or taco platter. We’ll make sure your night ends on a sweet note with either a slice of Martha’s famous Carrot Cake or Grandma Bea’s Chocolate Pudding Pie. In honor of Valentine’s Day the sophisticated restaurant will present a host of specials including Oysters on the Half Shell ($3.50/piece), creamy Red Beet Risotto with parmesan and candy striped beets ($12.95), exquisite Pan-Seared Dover Sole with haricot verts and tomato caper sauce ($49.95) and hearty Venison Strip Loin with potato puree and red wine cherries ($39.95).
