Chicago Tribune anti-Gingrich editorial raises some eyebrows

The Chicago Tribune, which has become increasingly liberal over the past few years, published an editorial called “A Newt fan calls it quits” by Elliot Felig. Some people on the Internet have called foul play.

Mr. Felig claims to have worked with Newt Gingrich, yet many in the Gingrich camp claim to have never heard of him. The rest reads as a typical hit piece with the “I used to love ‘fill in name here’ but now I don’t like ‘fill in name here’.” It accuses Newt Gingrich of having a poor personal conduct and going against what people in this country want.

Chicago African American Libertarian Alliance (CAALA) President David Lemar says more people should call out the Chicago Tribune on its bias. “The editorial is very questionable, yet only a handful of people have said anything about it yet,” says Lemar. “If this had been a character attack against a Democrat, the mainstream media would call for the newspaper to be banned and the writers put to death.”
