The Chicago Travel & Adventure Show is being held on Saturday and Sunday, January 28-29, 2012, at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, in the O'Hare International Airport area. The show features the adventure of travel and cultural attractions.
Celebrity travel experts will make appearances over the weekend, including: Samantha Brown, host of several Travel Channel shows; Patricia Schultz (author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die); and Marc Peyser (editor of Frommer's Budget Travel magazine). Chicago native and Travel Channel star Mark DeCarlo will host an audience cookoff, with a prize of a trip to the Mexican Yucatan.
Some of the must see stops at the show include the domestic and international exhibitors, Fiery Foods Challenge, Mark DeCarlo Interactive Cooking Class and Competition, Scuba Do! and the music and dancing at the Global Beats Stage.
Travel Agency partner AAA will be featuring seminars and African safaris. European vacations and cruising at the AAA Travel Theatre.
Over 120 exhibitors will be on hand to present their travel ideas and offerings. The show is a great place to pick up information on travel destinations. Informative seminars will be offered by a variety of travel experts.
The Chicago Travel and Adventure Show opens Saturday, January 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Adult admission is $9 online with Promo code: CHPR or $15 at the door. Children 16 years of age and under at admitted free.
