Chicagoian Tony Gebley is a tea blogger at World of Tea and co-owner of Chicago Tea Garden. He is hosting several upcoming tea related events, some of them free, so if you are interested in learning more about tea this year, here are some awesome opportunities to do so!

Chicago Tea Garden Tea Tastings

Description: Tony will guide you through a selection of 10-15 teas and show you different brewing techniques. Tastings are informal and relaxed. Bring your questions!

A Course on Steeping Chinese Tea by Michael J Coffey, aka "Tea Geek"

Date: 4/2/11, 2pm-3:30pm

Cost: $65.00 plus a small processing fee.

Description: Michael J Coffey is a tea blogger and educator in Seattle. He'll be demonstrating his expertise in tea-brewing to us Chicagoians. All participants receive a free gaiwan (Chinese covered cup for brewing/drinking tea) to take home.

Tea Geek Basics of Tea: 6-Part Course by Michael J Coffey, aka "Tea Geek"

Date: 4/3/11, 11am-6pm

Cost: $192 plus a small processing fee

Description: This is an in-depth tea class covering the major tea types, regions, and brewing methods. Participants receive a set of teas and teaware to take home. Class participants have the option of completing a certification evaluation for an extra fee.
