In honor of Verdi's 200th birthday, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus are performing Verdi's Requiem on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Orchestra Hall in Chicago, and the concert is being opened to the world through live streaming.
Muti's choice of music to celebrate Verdi's birth underscores his belief that no other piece of classical music better exemplifies the plight of mankind.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. CST, and can be accessed by going to http://cso.org/res/VerdiRequiem/
