Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare

The Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare is holding Tai Chi classes on Tuesdays 10:00am & 11:00am (to help arthritis and pain). They are also holding Pilates classes on Wednesdays 7:15pm (to help muscle strength and balance). All during the month of May these classes are $38 fee and need to be registered online at www.emhc.org/classes or by calling CareMatch by phone at 331-221-CARE. The Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare has also partnered with The Wellness House for the needs of cancer patients and their families, for more information visit website at www.wellnesshouse.org .

They would also like to help the community with health screening needs including: blood pressure, diabetes, and heart. For free blood pressure screenings on the first Tuesday of every month, register and attend the Villa Park Public Library. For a free diabetes screening, register and attend on May 12th, 2014, at either locations Elmurst Memorial Hospital or Soukup Herter Library, both starting at 8:00am up until 9:00am. CareMatch helps first-time/ new parents (by easing their minds) with provided programs for pets and elders. The workshops on things such as how to introduce baby to dog "Dogs and Storks" and baby proofing homes "Grandparent Baby Care Refresher" for helping those who may have forgotten, are just a few of the programs they have available.
