Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17
There’s a little something for everyone at the Chicagoland Family Pet Expo at the Arlington Race Track. Join Chicago pet rescues and advocacy organizations to meet adoptable pets and learn about volunteer opportunities and also check out lots of new products and services for your pet. There will also be a St. Petrick’s Costume Contest, a Household Companion Cat Contest, Trained rescue dogs and so much more. Learn more online including two for one admission on Friday night from 5 to 9 p.m.
Saturday, March 16
Join One Tail at a Time at It’s a Paws world from noon to 3 p.m. for an adoption event. Stop by at 4725 North Damen in Chicago to meet your new best friend and check out the dogs needing homes and learn about the organization.
Sunday, March 17
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Heartland Animal Shelter at the Bow-Wow and Alley Cat Bowling starting at 5:30 at the River Rand Bowl at 191 South River Road in Des Plaines. Tickets are just $25 and may be purchase online. Enjoy pizza, bowling, dessert, raffles and more as Heartland raises some green for the animals. This is such a fun event and helps support a no-kill shelter.
