National Spay and Neuter Month wraps up this week and there are still plenty of opportunities to take advantage of low-cost offers for your pets. There’s also a special seminar on Wednesday focusing on Separation Anxiety and Your Dog and a vaccination clinic. Details are below.

Cook County is offering a $40 rebate for all county residents for spay and neuter services for their pets through the end of the month. Go online for information. The rebate may be used for services at Tree House Humane Society, veterinarians and some other clinics in the county. Details on discounts offered through the Tree House Program in conjunction with the Cook County rebate may be found here.
Tuesday, February 26
Tree House Humane Society be celebrating World Spay Day with a spay-a-thon and offering free spay/neuter surgeries for 50 free-roaming cats. Cats must be brought in traps and be dropped off and picked up the same day at the BVDM Spay and Neuter Clinic. There is a limit of 5 cats per person by appointment only.
Wednesday, February 27
Come out for this free training seminar organized by One Tail at a Time focusing on Separation Anxiety and Your Dog starting at 7 p.m. at Canine Crews at 1616 North Washtenaw. Speakers include Kiki Yablon, KPA CTP dog trainer, and Dr. Kelly Ballantyne, Chicagoland Veterinary Behavior Consultants. The event is free, but registration is required. No dogs please. Fox Valley Animal Welfare League's Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is offering $5 neuter surgeries for male cats. Call 630-800-2254 for an appointment.
Saturday, March 2
Stop by Timberline Animal Hospital at 950 Northeast Frontage Road in Joliet between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a vaccination clinic. Dog House Humane Group will be on hand to collect wish list items and selling some of their promotional items.
