There are some exciting things on the horizon for Chicago's own post-hardcore rockers The Swan King.

Formed in the Windy City in 2009, The Swan King is a combination of Pelican guitarist and Pelican guitarist and former Duane Denison member, Dallas Thomas, former Planes Mistaken For Stars bassist, Jamie Drier, and Zafar Musharraf on drums. Now, a very fast five years later, the band is already about to release their second album and is gearing up for a tour.

Recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago, Last So Long is the title of their eight-song sophomore release. Due out June 3 on War Crime Recordings, Last So Long is a hard hitting compilation of controlled chaos.

But until then, kicking off the end of May The Swan King will be hitting the road with fellow Chicagoans, Jar'd Loose.

Having already shared the stage with bands like Red Fang, Black Tusk, and Indians & Whores, this ten-date East Coast adventure will commence in Columbus, Ohio and then wind back down on their home soil - and by then the new album will have hit the atmosphere!
