She now has a beautiful salon that comes to you. This converted bus is now Hairs to You Too! Ltd, supplied with a shampoo bowl, hair dryer and flat-screen TV. It has a wheelchair lift for those who have difficulty walking. There is hot and cold running water, large mirrors and even a bathroom.
With 30 years experience as a hair stylist, her savings and a bank loan she was able to establish this mobile spa. The mechanic who did the conversion work said she has the only traveling hair salon in the Midwest.
It is a blessing for the homebound, because she comes to them. Her clients include seniors and the disabled, along with large companies where people can get a quick hair cut on their lunch hour. She offers affordable cuts and makes people feel beautiful by coming to them and giving men and women fresh hairstyles.
