Chicago's green river & parade (Photos)

The dying of the Chicago River to bright green and St. Patrick's Day parade celebration takes place on Saturday, March 16th, 2013. For over 40 years the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union have been turning the Chicago river green. This event (not to miss) takes place at 10am, located at lower wacker drive and Columbus, Chicago, IL. The St. Patrick's Day special parade begins at Columbus & Balbo, Chicago IL at 12 noon and travels North to Monroe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFXlPJ9hKrY

Following the parade the Irish American Heritage Center located at 4626 N Knox ave, Chicago, IL, will be having a St. Pat's Day Festival starting at 1:00pm to midnight.
