The Museum of Science & Industry (MSI) is having their 72nd Christmas Around The World & Holiday Of Lights event. Help celebrate their 80th Anniversary this year at the museum, located at 5700 S. Lake Shore drive, Chicago, IL. Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry is the largest science museum in the western hemisphere.
Exciting traditions of Christmas, everyone gets a chance to glimpse countries from around the world including: Bulgaria, Italy, Armenia, Japan, Belize, Norway, Estonia, Slovakia, Netherlands, Finland and more.
The special holiday exhibit featured this year is "Treasures Of The Walt Disney Archives" and will run until January 5th, 2014. Expect the whole family to enjoy holiday activities including: dance performances, holiday singing, more than 50 decorated trees, and more. The largest tree stands 45 foot tall with more than 30,000 lights. The smaller trees are beautifully decorated by volunteers from Chicago's ethnic communities.
It would be a shame to miss the other exhibits like Idea Factory for kids, 1900's Yesterday America, 80th Museum Celebration, and more at this wonderful museum. The Museum of Science & Industry's hours are Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 4:00pm and Saturday & Sunday (excluding Christmas) 9:30am - 5:30pm. This place is a wonderful way loved ones and families can celebrate the holidays this 2013.
