The complete line up for this year’s annual Chicago International Movies & Music Festival has just been announced, and advanced tickets are available. CIMMfest is a four-day showcase of juried music-centric films, innovative music videos, concerts throughout the city, lively VJ/DJ sets, Q & A sessions for many of the films, live score performances, and industry panel discussions—all highlighting the marriage of music and film, and how one informs and enhances the other.

Most of the viewings, performances, and events take place in the Wicker Park and Logan Square neighborhoods. Co-founder of The Austin Chronicle and South By Southwest Music Conference, Louis Black, will be the 2014 recipient of the 2014 CIMMfest Baadasssss Award—which was named after film innovator Melvin VanPeebles. Among the musical highlights are: Booker T, Bloodshot Records 20th anniversary party, disco orchestra Escort, a tribute to Koko Taylor, and dozens of others. Panel discussion topics, lead by industry experts, include: music videos, live streaming, self-marketing, and the feisty panel “Chicago’s F**king Awesome!”
